Sonkring Preschool

Our full-day preschool programme balances structured learning with plenty of free and outdoor play, sanitised routines, and rest - tailored for little ones from 3 months to 5 years old.
Daily Routine
- 06:30 - 07:30Arrival - free play inside (blocks, educational toys)
- 07:30 - 08:00Educational games (pegboards, puzzles, etc.)
- 08:00 - 08:30Sanitise hands / breakfast / toilet & nappy routine
- 08:30 - 09:00Morning ring - welcome, Bible story, songs, prayer, weather, shapes, colours, counting, theme discussion
- 09:00 - 09:20Music and movement - singing and dancing
- 09:20 - 10:00Main creative art activity and fine motor sub-activity
- 10:00 - 10:10Clean up
- 10:10 - 10:30Sanitise hands / snack time (from home) / toilet & nappy routine
- 10:30 - 11:20Free outdoor play - obstacle courses and sensory play
- 11:20 - 11:30Clean up - playground and equipment packed away
- 11:30 - 12:00Lunchtime, toilet & nappy routine
- 12:00 - 14:00Sleep time - toys sanitised and set out for the afternoon
- 14:00 - 14:30Wake up time / toilet & nappy routine
- 14:30 - 15:00Snack and refreshments from home
- 15:00 - 16:00Outdoor play - obstacle course and fun games

A calm, caring environment from early morning through to late afternoon - giving children a consistent space where they feel safe, supported, and at home.
Daily Routine
- 06:30 - 07:10Morning care - children settle in and start the day calmly
- 07:10Walk to school - learners are safely walked to school
- From 12:15Aftercare begins - Grade R learners return from Primary School Bastion and are welcomed back
- 12:15 - 14:00After-school arrival - children settle in, relax, and connect with friends
- 12:30 - 14:30Lunch / snack time - a healthy meal, recharging and sharing moments together
- All afternoonTuck shop - affordable snacks available as an extra treat
- 14:00 - 17:00Homework & study time - supervised sessions building confidence and good study habits
- 14:00 - 17:00Free play & activities - arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and creative time
- - Extra-mural activities - children are safely walked to and from school for extra-murals
- All dayHealth & safety - trained first aiders always on duty
- 17:00 - 18:00Wind down & pick-up - a relaxed end to the day, reading or playing quietly until collection
